After a traveling foreverrrrr from San Francisco to a layover in Iceland, and then landing in Gatwick and taking a bus into London, we arrived Saturday night.
Piccadilly Circus on a Sunday morning, completely dead. And currently under construction, boo!
Breakfast at The Breakfast Club, it was sooo sooo good!
The pancakes were heavenly. I don't even like pancakes that much either!
Both the Full Monty and Reggie the Veggie were good!
Hillsong London, Easter Sunday service. They had a performance of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and it was a very impressive professional dance-skit.
Hillsong London's service was at a theatre
Buckingham Palace, sadly we did not see the Queen
Westminster Abbey
Big Ben/House of Parliament
Thames River
Shepherd Market, was mostly closed and under construction.
It's a little area with little stores and restaurants.
Random Easter Day buggy
Our Airbnb was in Kensington, and the surrounding neighborhood was beautifulllll
Wagamama in my opinion wasn't the greatest but it is a popular Asian fusion chain that British people like, so we checked it out.
This is only the first day! I am leaving to Seattle/Portland tomorrow and will also need to upload pictures from that trip as well. AH!
London was lots of fun, it's my sisters favorite city and I now understand why. Everywhere we went there was something new and exciting. There is a good mix of the old and the new. I personally thought that London was a lot more clean then New York, especially the subway stations and most bathrooms. I loved the old feel of some of the buildings and mannerisms of the people we interacted with. So proper and very nice.
We went on an Icelandic airline called WOW, it was cheap but you could only have one carry-on bag and you have to pay for food/water on the plane. Therefore we didn't pack much and I am wearing the same coat the whole entire trip, haha.
Next post will hopefully come soon after my next trip!
